Speedmaster presses offer top technology for both premium and high-volume packaging printers worldwide. Based on the entire portfolio, Heidelberg is in first place on the global packaging printing market.
One highlight of its press portfolio is the 18,000 sheet per hour Speedmaster XL 106, which is designed for highly industrialized packaging printing. Special configurations enable users to cover the full range of surface finishing options and special applications. EGISA in Spain, for instance, uses a Speedmaster XL 106-LY-7+LYY+1+L to produce premium packaging for leading manufacturers of cosmetics, fragrances, and high-end food products including chocolates and delicatessen items.
The large-format Speedmaster XL 145 and Speedmaster XL 162 presses are also unbeatable. They deliver exceptionally cost-efficient industrial production with large repeats and everything from long to very short runs. The Speedmaster XL 145-6+L at Mayr-Melnhof Packaging in France, for example, easily matches the capacity of the two competitor presses the print shop previously used.
SB Graphic is also based in France but operates in a completely different segment. This print shop primarily uses its Speedmaster XL 162-5+L to produce sophisticated sales displays for the premium brands of the French fashion and fragrance industries.
And the Heidelberg success story in the packaging segment is not restricted to its Peak Performance presses. Up-and-coming packaging print shops the world over are breaking records with Speedmaster technology. The Speedmaster SM 74, Speedmaster SX 74, Speedmaster CD 102, and Speedmaster CX 102 all deliver cost-efficient, high-quality packaging production.
